Browning Buxus Hedge

I would like to know what to do when Buxus hedge turns brown. Do we need to add something to the soil?

Buxus leaves turning brown is a common issue during the winter months or when plants are lacking essential nutrients. While it might be tempting to reach for the fertiliser, it's best to hold off until mid-October when the weather warms up.

Once the time is right, start feeding your Buxus plants with Daltons Premium Tree & Shrub Fertiliser, continuing through to mid-December. You can then resume fertilising in the New Year, around mid-February, and continue through to mid-April.

Buxus plants are known as gross feeders, meaning they need more fertiliser to thrive. So, be generous with your applications and always remember to water the fertiliser in well to help it reach the plant roots.
