Supporting the Rose Community
Daltons is proud to support the Daltons Matamata Rose Show and the Waikato Rose Society Daltons Spring Show in 2024, as well as in previous years. We’re also excited to be a sponsor of the National Rose Show in 2024, where top growers from across New Zealand compete for prestigious awards over two days of stunning rose displays.
We love celebrating the passion and dedication behind these beautiful blooms, from seasoned rose enthusiasts to those just starting their gardening journey. It’s truly inspiring to see the abundant talent of gardeners right on our doorstep!
School Butterfly Habitat Award
We’re excited to partner with the Moths and Butterflies of New Zealand Trust for the Daltons School Butterfly Habitat Award, celebrating schools creating thriving butterfly and moth habitats. With native butterflies struggling due to a lack of awareness, educating children is vital. Each term, we reward a school with a Daltons product prize pack, inspiring ongoing conservation efforts.

Sanctuary Mountain, Maungatautari
Sanctuary Mountain is New Zealand’s largest fenced eco-sanctuary. The forest of Maungatautari is thriving, with a lush understory unlike most native forests. Visitors step into an ancient ecosystem filled with native trees, ferns, and wildlife.
Daltons proudly supports Sanctuary Mountain by donating potting mix each year to help sustain this unique environment.
Picton Dawn Chorus
Picton Dawn Chorus is a community-led non-profit Incorporated Society, set up by a group of passionate Picton residents to restore our native birdsong and make the region predator free by 2030.
Daltons are happy to support Picton Dawn Chorus and celebrate local residents who are working together to reach this goal.

Plants for Parafed, Taranaki
Daltons are happy to annually supply bags of potting mix and fertiliser to support this project.
Lynda is doing some great work raising money for Parafed Taranaki which is a non-profit organisation whose vision is "to inspire people with physical disabilities to achieve equality, excellence and wellbeing through Sport and Recreation". She has always grown plants for friends and now donates her time and the proceeds of her plant sales to support this fantastic local charity.
Moths and Butterflies of NZ Trust
Jacqui Knight says Daltons support of the Moths and Butterflies of NZ Trust has been critical, “They have been amazing, supporting my work leading a team of volunteers at the Blockhouse Bay Recreational Reserve where we’ve created some habitat, ostensibly for butterflies. We’re organic, and we’ve loved the addition of Daltons mulches and compost to get our plants well established. They have also been a great supporter of our BUTTERFLIES magazine for years.”
Restoring Auckland's Ancient Island Sanctuary
Daltons proudly supports the Motutapu Restoration Trust’s community ecological restoration efforts on Motutapu, contributing significantly to the survival of threatened species in New Zealand. To date, approximately 100 hectares of native forest have been restored by volunteers.
NZ Riding for the Disabled - Whangarei

NZ Riding for the Disabled provide a therapeutic riding and horsemanship program to develop increased ability and self-esteem in children and adults with physical, intellectual and behavioural difficulties.

Daltons is proud to support the historic Katherine Mansfield House & Garden, helping to maintain its beautiful grounds.

Coast Youth Community Trust
CYC Trust is Strengthening Youth, Empowering Families, and Building Community on the Hibiscus Coast. Allan Robertson says,
“A huge thanks to Daltons for the bags of Premium Garden Mix, Vegetable Mix and Premium Seed Mix they kindly donated to our community garden. The lettuce seedlings you see here were raised by students of Coast Alternative Education School. The gardens are maintained by volunteers, some of whom have community service hours they need to work off... what better way to give back to the community! The produce grown is distributed in food parcels through a local food bank. So thank you, Daltons. Your donation not only saves us money, it adds life to our gardens which, in turn, grow great produce that can be shared with those in need.”
Karaka School Ag Day 2023
Daltons Drury Landscape Yard was proud to support Karaka School Ag Day 2023.
"The day was very successful and thoroughly enjoyed by all. You helped us raise over $35,000 for our school. The proceeds from the day will go towards enhancing our school environment i.e. turf, shade sails etc, which will benefit all our students. Firth Tower, Matamata
Carol Dutton (Firth Tower Assistant) says,
"Gardeners Emma, Nigel, and the Firth Tower staff were excited to receive a truckload of Dalton's mix a couple of weeks back, in order to re-establish the Homestead gardens. It's been a working progress for some time, clearing the whole area of problem weeds and plants that do not belong in a historic setting. With the addition of this enriched mix, Emma will now be able to start the replanting process and make the Homestead garden look how it would have done around 100 years ago."
