Herb & Garlic Butter
A simple way to use up fresh herbs from the garden. This herb butter freezes beautifully and is perfect for adding flavour to vegetables, bread, corn, steak, or baked potatoes.
Time: 10 minutes | Keeps: 3 months (freezer)
Tip: freeze as a log so you can slice off rounds as needed.
Ingredients:
- 250g butter softened
- 2 gloves of garlic, crushed
- ¼ cup fresh herbs – e.g. parsley, chives, thyme or rosemary, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method:
- Place the softened butter in a bowl.
- Add garlic, chopped herbs, salt and pepper.
- Mix well until evenly combined.
- Spoon onto baking paper, roll into a log and twist the ends to seal.
- Refrigerate until firm, or place in the freezer for later use and slice off a round whenever you need an instant hit of flavour.
