Yellow Gardenia Leaves

My gardenia bush has yellow tips on the leaves. I am not sure whether I am giving it enough water or if it could have something to do with the pH in the soil? Can you offer any advice?

Gardenias are not the easiest of shrubs to cultivate as they can be a little fussy about the site and soil type they are grown in. The most important factor to remember when growing gardenias is that they are gross-feeders. This means they can almost never be over fertilised! Where nutrition is poor, yellowing of leaves occurs very rapidly, either the entire leaf or the leaf tips.

Wait until the weather cools and then apply Daltons Goldcote Rose and Flower Fertiliser around the base of the plant ensuring it is well watered in. Regularly fertilise your gardenia from spring to early summer and then again in late summer to early autumn every year.
