Improving Clay Soil

With very wet and clay ground what solution would you suggest?

Very wet, clay soils are a challenge many gardeners’ face in New Zealand, especially during winter months when this type of soil becomes very “boggy".

By incorporating plenty of organic matter, like Daltons Compost products, along with Gypsum Clay Breaker, “open ups” your clay soil, you can effectively enhance its structure, drainage, and airflow.

These improvements are crucial for fostering healthy plant growth and vitality but It’s important to understand that this isn't a one-time fix. You need to regularly apply and dig in fresh organic matter as it naturally decomposes and integrates into the soil over time.

Also think about adding drainage coils throughout the garden, especially in troublesome spots that become significantly wet over winter.
