Succulent Disease

My Dad’s succulent has a nasty disease consuming the old parts of the plant. I’ve taken cuttings and grown some disease-free backups, but how do I save this original plant. Do I cut off all the old diseases parts?

Continue taking cuttings from your fathers’ plant - fortunately, succulents are easy to grow from cuttings. With the original plant, remove any dead or diseased parts immediately. It’s possible this plant might require repotting as well. Do this in spring and use specific cacti and succulents mix (try our Daltons Premium Cacti and Succulents Mix). Ensure the plant does not become too wet during the winter months as this could cause further problems. Place the plant in a sunny, sheltered spot that is preferably north facing.
